6 Months

Our sweet Anna turned 6 months this past Friday. It really seems impossible, but it happened. She is still the BEST baby! Poor baby has such a mean mommy...I made her get her 6 month shots on her half birthday. She is still NOT a fan. And, neither is Davis. He, of course, was at the pedi with us for the shots. She started crying when they started putting the liquid for the rotovirus in her mouth, so he climbed up on the exam table. When the nurse stabbed her the first time, and she started screaming, D YELLED "Don't do dat to sissy poo!!" And he was serious! After the last shot, he just glared at the poor nurse. And repeatedly told Anna "it ok sissy poo, it ok." :) She weighed 15 lbs, 12 oz (47th percentile); and was 25.5 inches long (43rd percentile). She still eats, drinks, and sleeps great! She cries when something is actually wrong, or when Davis walks away from her, but otherwise, she's happy...all the time!

Now, for pictures. My mom complains that there aren't as many pictures of Anna in her monthly posts as there were of Davis. I couldn't decide which ones to put on here, so this post will definitely remedy that. Mom, you're welcome! :)

Practicing sitting. She does NOT care about sitting...at all! She can do it, but would much rather stand.

Poor baby. She now has the breatheable bumpers on her bed.

All those toys, and she's playing with the burp cloth. Makes perfect sense.

More trucks and balls in this house than baby dolls and "pink things." We need to remedy that.

Oh, those eyes! We are going to be in SO much trouble!

She does not like it when he takes her paci. If this picture had sound, she was "screetching" at him.

A half cake for a half birthday. Off and on all day, D would sing "happy birthday" to her. He would sing "happy bir-day to you, happy bir-day to you, happy bir-day sissy poo" over and over again. Sweetest thing ever!! And, I know...some save the first sugar for the first birthday. We don't.

And, she LOVED it!

After she ate a bit, I took it away because I was sure she was going to be sick (she was fine). She looked at me like I was the worst mom ever, then proceeded to lick the cool whip icing off of the tray. :) She is her father's daughter for sure.

She still balls up on all fours, looks where she wants to go, and lunges herself to it. The doctor thinks crawling is in her VERY near future. Bring it on!!

Smart baby...we didn't teach her that. She got the 3 easy one's on her own, then D came over and said "Watch Sissy Poo," then showed her how the other 2 work. Such a sweet boy!

Happy half-birthday sweet girl!! You were the perfect baby for our family, and as Davis said today, our "favorite girl EBER!" :)
