Easter

Ok...now that school is out, I have a little extra time on my hands! I haven't had a "summer break" since I was a freshman in high school. It's only been 3 days, but I'M LOVING IT! Now to get the blog caught up...

The day after Davis' birthday party was Easter so we still had some family in town to enjoy. Davis and Anna were so worn out and cranky though. Ugh. Too much for one weekend.

After the birthday party, we opened "grandparent Easter baskets." They were in candy heaven!

This one was SO TIRED, but he was still mad we were making him go to bed. He put up a pretty good fight with those Ninja Turtle hands, but Mama won.

Easter bunny gifts. We don't put much emphasis on the Easter bunny. It's a weird concept, and the resurrection of Christ is FAR more important. However...it is certainly fun to get a little gift. :)

All I wanted was one good picture of my 4. We tried before church, but one of us wasn't feeling it.

We tried after church, but it was too bright, and...

...one of us still wasn't feeling it.

Checking on our peaches.

This guy. 14 years and I sure do love him!

After we hunted eggs, we headed to Aunt Paula and Uncle Jeff's for lunch.

Lots of tiny hands have played with these Lego's!

Aunt Vasha and Uncle Erick

And finally, what started as this...

...and this...

...quickly became this! They were D.O.N.E!

He's FOUR

My baby. My tiny, 5 lb 14 oz baby is 4. He is smart, funny, strong willed, happy, active, confident, talkative, persuasive, and wise. He has had more medical "procedures" than I can count. He's had 8 different surgeries (and the next one is scheduled for May 29th), and has more "medical knowledge" than most adults. He is 38 inches tall, and 32 lbs of FIRE. And we couldn't love him more!

(First thing EVERY morning, he comes to our room asking to watch cartoons in our bed. I loved my early morning snuggles with my newly turned 4 year old!)

We stretched his birthday out over a few days. His actual birthday fell on a Monday, so we both took off work to spend the day together. We started at the dentist. I know, I know. In my defense, I was trying to save as many sick/vaca days at work as possible to use for his upcoming surgery.

His "birth minute" picture. He was born at 9:35am on April 14, 2010. Here he was waiting for his turn at the dentist at 9:35am on April 14, 2014. (See little sister in the chair behind him.)

Back home that afternoon playing "Frozen" with the horse and moose. He knows it's a moose, but for the sake of the Frozen game, it's Sven...the reindeer.

She was singing her little heart out...and he was loving it!

We saved his present until after Anna went to bed that night so he could just enjoy it for a little while.

And he LOVED it!

Long after he should have been asleep, I found this in his room. :) He wanted to make sure he knew where it was the next morning. Yes, those are his shoes in his bed with him. And yes, he is still awake.

The day of the party, he had a baseball game first. Most of the party guests also attended the game...and made up almost the entire cheering section.

In the Blastball league, there is a parent on the field for each child pointing them in the right direction at any given time. Logan joined B and Davis.

He was ready to party when the game was over!

Kayson came dressed to party!

He was SO EXCITED to have his "Minja" Turtle party!

This one cracked me up! The look on our faces vs. D's. :)

My beautiful girl.

Having a little fun with one of the gifts. I'm not sure if Davis or Daddy had more fun.

How cute are my Memaw and Papaw?!

He had such a great birthday week! We are so BLESSED to have been chosen to raise such an amazing little boy. I canNOT wait to see what the future holds for this little miracle!
