My 10 Month Old Valentine!

Happy Valentine's Day!! Davis is 10 months old today! He's getting big, fast. Physically he's now developing so fast! And, his language is amazing me! It helps that he gets speech therapy during all waking hours when mommy is home. :) His drinking still stinks, but it's S.L.O.W.L.Y getting better. I don't know exactly what he was "doing" last month, so here are all of his "skills:" Physically - he's a crawling PRO, climbs over small things, pulls up and "walks" on his knees, and he's trying sooooo hard to pull to stand. He's done it once by himself. But, only once. He'll get there. He is still going to physical therapy weekly (every other week with ECI, and every other week at Cooks). It's getting old...fast...but he needs it, so we'll keep it up. Language - he waves "hi" and "bye," claps when we say "yay!" or "good job," shakes his head "no," and waves "bye" when he's "all done." He is beginning to follow directions. He responds to "no," "put it down," and "other side." I LOVE IT! I also love that he appropriately SAYS 3 words!! He says mama, dada, and bye bye. As much as I LOVE hearing him say mama and dada, that sweet little "bye bye" with the backwards wave is my FAVORITE! In the past few days, he is trying to say "yay." When we say "yay," he claps and says "ay!" It doesn't count yet, but it's coming. (One of my friends youngest daughter had 60 words by her first birthday...we won't be near that, but we're at least going to have the required 5!) When we laugh at each other, or TV, etc. he laughs. He grunts when he wants lights turned on, to get down, or to be picked up. He loves books, music, and mylar balloons. He "shares" everything with us...his paci, his food, his sippy cups, basically anything we don't want in our mouths. :) He is beginning to "throw" balls, and "drive" trucks. He "blows kisses," and they are so sweet! He still just has the one TINY piece of a tooth (bottom left), and is eating mostly all table foods. He would be eating all table foods, but we still have to use the baby food to count as some of his liquid for the day.

He has physical therapy tomorrow and next week, but no scheduled doctor appointments until March...when he has 4. Blech. Please continue to pray for our sweet boy!!!

After dinner, I was "cleaning up" and noticed he got quiet. :) My poor, sick baby! Out cold! (Note: this was one night last week. He's well now.)

Brandon was eating cake! Haha.

He was saying "yay!" He had just crawled all the way through his tunnel.

So happy! He only gets to be in this jumper when we're showering/getting ready. He loves it, and JUMPS like crazy.

See his mouth? He was clapping, saying "ay!" We had just been saying "yay! you're 10 months old today!" :)
