The Rest

In an effort to stay caught up this holiday season, I'm going to put the rest of "November so far" in one post. I'm hoping to pick back up with a somewhat regular blogging schedule. We'll see.

An afternoon in the Stockyards. This was the first time we've gone with both kids and NO stroller. I have to say...I love babies, but I am REALLY loving having "big kids."

They were both a little annoyed with us that they couldn't get as close to the animals here as they can at Nana and Grandpa's. :)

A random "before church" picture.
Yes, her bow was falling out.

A morning at the park. We all had so much fun! We made them take Christmas card pictures before they could play.

She SWEARS this is a picnic table. I can't convince her that it's really just a bench.

Family Thanksgiving at Nana and Grandpa's.

There are no pictures of the boys. Davis had strep and was quarantined to the bedroom, and Cannon was asleep.

Sweet Carlee.

I will be back in a couple of days. I'm officially on Thanksgiving break. A definite perk to working in a school! We have a busy week/weekend ahead of us. Tomorrow Davis has a scheduled appointment with the orthopedic doc, and we're going to do some Christmas shopping. Thursday we will be celebrating at home, and decorating for Christmas! Friday will likely lead to more decorating. Saturday we plan to go tell Santa what we want, and Sunday we'll go to church and rest. Phew. Bring it on!

Halloween

Halloween was so fun this year!! We made Halloween a week-long event this year. First, we carved pumpkins...
(This one accidentally made it into this post. Ooops. But, look at my boy! He was FEELIN' the music. ;) It was awesome!)

Sister was not all that impressed with the "stinky po-kin" guts.

Then we painted pumpkins...

Waiting for dinner to be served. Pumpkin carving/painting is hard work when you no longer nap in the afternoons.

Then we made and decorated cupcakes...

The day before...

There are no pictures of them with the pumpkins we carved because we dropped the ball. It rained for several days after we carved them, and they rotted within 3 days. I mean, rotten beyond recognition. Oh well. Mickey and Minnie were way better.

The BIG day...

We took advantage of the fact that Davis will get excited about almost anything we are excited about. We found a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader costume for Anna, so we made D a football player. This is likely my last year to be able to coordinate their costumes so we ran with it! :)

This was Anna's first time trick-or-treating. We started next door...she had no problem running up to their door!

We came home and watched Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin while we ate our candy and handed out candy to other kids.

It was a great night!!!

3 1/2

My big boy is 3 1/2. I canNOT believe it. For such a tiny kid, he has so much personality! He is so smart and so funny and so sweet. Wise beyond his 3 1/2 years...and he's mine. So thankful! So.Very.Thankful!!

I know this is a "Davis post," but really...how cute is she?!

I finished cleaning the kitchen one night and found this. Haha!

Oh my sweet boy.
