Determined...

Ok. I am determined to get caught up before the end of the year. DETERMINED. So, grab a beverage. And you'll probably need a snack. Here we go...6 months worth of pictures. All in one post. All 122 pictures. :)

In July...

We continued to do a lot of swimming before Davis' surgery.

We celebrated the 4th of July. One of them wasn't really feelin' the picture idea.

My whole world.

The rest of July was spent at Cook Children's Medical Center. It was a horrific experience. Davis was supposed to have one surgery, and go home after 5-9 days. He ended up having 11 surgeries. Multiple other "procedures," and stayed for 33 consecutive days, and went back several more times for a few days here and there. Thankfully, he is on the mend now. We have had more than one doctor/nurse tell us how lucky we are that he survived. We know that it was not, is not, luck. We serve an amazing God who protected my baby, and kept us from completely falling apart.

In August...

We took a trip to the Circus a few days after Davis was released from the hospital the first time.

None of my people had ever been to the circus. I went a couple of times as a child. But it was a first for these three!

Snow Cones!

You can see in his face how terrible he feels. We were so thankful for the pain medicine that allowed him to be there, and enjoy a portion of it.

But in the end, the pain and medicine won. :-(

In September...

They started at a new school. It's a private Christian school here in town, and we all LOVE it! They are always so excited to go. Every single morning, as soon as I open the door, they sprint to their classrooms. Makes my heart so happy!

In October...

We went to the pumpkin patch at DRI. (And took waaaaaayyyyyy too many pictures.)

We went to the State Fair...

...and had corn dogs for breakfast.

The butter statue was disappointing this year. It is usually much more impressive.

Their favorite part again this year (aside from Big Tex) was Hank interactive the Ford robot.

The fair won! And Mama and Daddy enjoyed almost 2 hours of doing whatever we wanted to!

A science lesson.

This sweet boy. The strongest kid I know. He was so excited to FINALLY "get his half."

Half a cake for a half birthday. (One of those candles is pushed way down into the cake...half.)

Halloween!

Davis' "very best friend" and his Mama came to trick-or-treat with us. All 3 kids had a blast!

Since Brandon always has to work on Thanksgiving, we celebrated at home again this year. Just the 4 of us.

After lunch we took the kids to a movie. It was Anna's FIRST time to see a movie in a theater.

After the movie, we smashed the Halloween/Thanksgiving pumpkins, and...

...started decorating...

...for Christmas!

In December...

We celebrated Daddy's 35th birthday!

Anna had a Christmas performance at school. Among other things, they sang Happy Birthday to Jesus.

Davis also had a Christmas program. Note that the SMALLEST kid in the entire pre-k program is on the BACK row. We could BARELY see him. I was NOT happy.

But his class sang Jesus Loves Me and Silent Night, and he sang and did the motions they had rehearsed.

We celebrated Christmas with one set of cousins. And out of almost 15 pictures, this was the best one. *sigh* Someday they'll cooperate!

Pe-Pa gave them a ride in Nanny's chair.

Davis added "ingredients" to their grocery list.

I tried to get a picture with my people. At least the big one was cooperative.

We spent a day exploring the Gaylord.

And as always...there was music, so they DANCED!

And DANCED. For almost 20 minutes.

They were so excited that the Ice Exhibit this year was Frosty.

And I love that every year, this is the final scene of the exhibit. There is also a recording that tells the story of the Nativity scene, and the birth of Christ.

Davis had to see the doctor Christmas Eve morning. The diagnosis was the FLU. For the 7th time in his short 4 1/2 years of life. Tylenol and Tamiflu had him feeling well enough to decorate cookies for Santa.

Because of the Flu in our house, we spent the entire day...Christmas Day...home in our jammies. It was glorious!

Santa came!

Santa also brought Jeeps!

We enjoyed our annual "Happy Birthday Jesus" party.

Played in a little "snow."

...and with silly string.

Trying out Daddy's new Christmas present. Davis was SET on the fact that we HAD to get Daddy a BB gun.

And this sweet girl turned 3. THREE!! So hard to believe. Oh what JOY she brings!!

Phew!! You made it!!! Chances are, those who stuck with it are related to us. ;-) Stay tuned. Tomorrow (technically, it's after midnight. So today.) we are taking a trip to Dallas for a couple of reasons. Dermatology appointments for B and I, and someplace fun to the littles who have to tag along after us.
