Pulling Up!

In the last week Davis learned a new skill! He can now PULL HIMSELF UP...TO HIS FEET...and STAND TO PLAY!!! My baby...with stupid spina bifida...standing himself up! He could not figure out why on earth we were so excited. :)

He only has one appointment this week. He has his regular check up with the eye doctor. I'm ready for this one. He rubs his poor right eye ALL.THE.TIME. Remember, it's the one with the "anomaly." Hopefully everything is ok.

Please continue to pray for all of us. Feedings are NO better. He's losing weight, he's ALWAYS moving (which we love!), and he's not eating or drinking any more. But, he's happy...all the time.

D and the little boy next door are really starting to play together. It is so cute! And, he is so cute! I'd post a better picture, but I did not yet ask his parents if it's ok with them for his face to be posted.

He was OUT.

The day after we found out we were having a boy, and that he had SB, we went and bought a few things. This was one of them.

I LOVE THIS SIGHT!! (SB moms...does it ever get old?!?)

I don't know why this one is upside down. Oh well. Davis and I went to Frisco with my mom, Aunt Val, Aunt Leona, and Cannon to watch another cousin play basketball. Davis was unimpressed with the whole thing. Perhaps it was because the game was at nap time.

The trip home. D was sleeping, and again (look a few posts back), Cannon was holding his hand. So Sweet!

The second time he got himself up. I missed the first one with the camera. I was too busy celebrating.

He looks WAY to big here. I put him there, but he sat and read that book for awhile.

Spaghetti-O's!

This was tonight. He didn't get anywhere near a decent nap today, didn't eat much at all for dinner. This means we get to get him up, and give him extra bottles a few times tonight. Yea. (I need that "type" sarcastic program.) Hopefully tomorrow will be better. It has to be.

Thank you all for your continued prayers!

Weekend Away

I'm a  bad mother. I didn't take a single picture of Davis Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of last week. Or today. However, I took a lot of them over the weekend. It had been awhile since we went "home" to Clyde/Abilene, so we went this past weekend...just to visit.

I don't really have anything to "update," things are still going well...except, you know...the drinking. Ugh. Continued prayers for that, please. Oh, and tonight, he was wanting me to "throw him up," but he was standing on the floor. He BENT HIS KNEES AND JUMPED!!! Several times!!! He's getting there! :)

He had more fun in the box, than with the toys.

Of all the toys he has, that one is his favorite.

More often than not, this is what my pictures look like these days. I love it!

A second afternoon nap...both of them WAY too short.

Uncle Zach

Logan is quite helpful, but Davis wanted to do it himself.

He looks so big here!

Look at those faces...they're not related at all! Sheesh...Wyatt genes are strong.

Interrupting Daddy and Popper's game.

Daddy is so proud! Anytime he has a golf club or bat, he has to hit balls on them.

Poor Harley. He does his best to stay just out of reach, but it's getting harder for him.

We're learning to share. It's never too early.

He loves both the swing, and outside.

Sweet Cannon and his Uncle "avis."

Grandpa got him a prize! The chocolate rose out of Nana's Valentine roses. Surprise...he loved it!

My 10 Month Old Valentine!

Happy Valentine's Day!! Davis is 10 months old today! He's getting big, fast. Physically he's now developing so fast! And, his language is amazing me! It helps that he gets speech therapy during all waking hours when mommy is home. :) His drinking still stinks, but it's S.L.O.W.L.Y getting better. I don't know exactly what he was "doing" last month, so here are all of his "skills:" Physically - he's a crawling PRO, climbs over small things, pulls up and "walks" on his knees, and he's trying sooooo hard to pull to stand. He's done it once by himself. But, only once. He'll get there. He is still going to physical therapy weekly (every other week with ECI, and every other week at Cooks). It's getting old...fast...but he needs it, so we'll keep it up. Language - he waves "hi" and "bye," claps when we say "yay!" or "good job," shakes his head "no," and waves "bye" when he's "all done." He is beginning to follow directions. He responds to "no," "put it down," and "other side." I LOVE IT! I also love that he appropriately SAYS 3 words!! He says mama, dada, and bye bye. As much as I LOVE hearing him say mama and dada, that sweet little "bye bye" with the backwards wave is my FAVORITE! In the past few days, he is trying to say "yay." When we say "yay," he claps and says "ay!" It doesn't count yet, but it's coming. (One of my friends youngest daughter had 60 words by her first birthday...we won't be near that, but we're at least going to have the required 5!) When we laugh at each other, or TV, etc. he laughs. He grunts when he wants lights turned on, to get down, or to be picked up. He loves books, music, and mylar balloons. He "shares" everything with us...his paci, his food, his sippy cups, basically anything we don't want in our mouths. :) He is beginning to "throw" balls, and "drive" trucks. He "blows kisses," and they are so sweet! He still just has the one TINY piece of a tooth (bottom left), and is eating mostly all table foods. He would be eating all table foods, but we still have to use the baby food to count as some of his liquid for the day.

He has physical therapy tomorrow and next week, but no scheduled doctor appointments until March...when he has 4. Blech. Please continue to pray for our sweet boy!!!

After dinner, I was "cleaning up" and noticed he got quiet. :) My poor, sick baby! Out cold! (Note: this was one night last week. He's well now.)

Brandon was eating cake! Haha.

He was saying "yay!" He had just crawled all the way through his tunnel.

So happy! He only gets to be in this jumper when we're showering/getting ready. He loves it, and JUMPS like crazy.

See his mouth? He was clapping, saying "ay!" We had just been saying "yay! you're 10 months old today!" :)

My little love bug tonight in his Valentine jammies.

Happy Valentine's-10 Month Day, Sweet Boy!!

Stream of Consciousness

(I couldn't think of a better title...so I stole this one from MckMama over at mycharmingkids.net) Snowmageddon did, in fact, hit last week. We spent FOUR WHOLE DAYS cooped up in the house. It wouldn't have been so bad if we could have gone somewhere. I LOVE snow days...really, I do...but 4?! We didn't get dressed, and I didn't wear make-up all week long. I should clarify that though we didn't "get dressed," we did still practice good hygiene...showers/baths daily for all. I didn't take any pictures of Davis in the snow, as this was not his first snow experience. Thanksgiving in Colorado was.

We kept Austin and Dylan Friday/Saturday. It was fun...except for the part where all three boys and Brandon have now had a stomach virus. (And, the part where 2/3 of them were up pretty much all night long Friday night.) Yuck! Davis started it...then Dylan...then Austin...and Brandon. I'm PRAYING I do NOT get it!!! I canNOT get sick and miss any more work! The snow seriously cut into my "sick time." A and D are well. Brandon is on the mend, but poor little Davis...he has a horrid cough, congestion, gunky nose, etc. He feels aweful, doesn't sleep unless being held "just so," and coughs ALL.NIGHT.LONG. Mama's tired! The living room furniture is great for lounging, and watching TV. "Sleeping" all night? Not so much. Hopefully he'll be on the mend soon. He has been asleep in there for almost 2 hours now, and though he's coughing quite a bit, he has not woken up or cried. Phew.

Ok, no more rambling. Pictures!!

Snowmageddon, Day 1.

When he wants you to do something, he'll take your hand and put it where he wants it. I love normal language development!! :)

"Yay!!" He was about to clap. That's new-ish too. You say yay, he claps.

He konked out during his bedtime bottle...paci in hand. He looks so big here.

He loves books...even this plastic one. It lights up and sings too.

Austin spent more time in this car in 2 days than D has in 10 months. Haha.

Batman was trying to make superman fly.

Uncle B was making batman fly...and he laughed so hard! So cute!

Davis was still napping when Austin and Dylan arrived Friday. When he woke up he was a little overwhelmed at first. (Note that Dylan is also still in his pj's.)

"What the heck dad?!" Haha...I love this one! Fear not! Davis did his fair share of "pesting" too.

A little lesson on superheros.

I cracked up when I found this.

They all played so well together! Is it any wonder they shared all those germs so well?

Note that Davis' hand is on top of Dylan's. He wanted him off of his toy. He lost, but they both played nicely with it.

A lesson in drinking. Austin is a great teacher. He pulled that chair over and told me that he bet he could get "baby Davis" to drink. He put the cup just in front of his mouth, told Davis to watch closely, and pretended to suck from it, then said, "ok baby Davis...your turn!"

Pointing out the moon and stars

See the scar where the feeding tube was? It healed nicely.

Look VERY CLOSELY...bottom left (picture right) tooth is there! Sort-of. You really have to look for it.

Sweet profile of my boy.

Both my boys watching the super bowl. If I had known then that B was about to be the next stomach virus victim, I would not have made a new recipe that turned out so good! Now, I may never get to have it again.

My little begger wanted to be picked up. He pulled himself up there too. :)

Please continue to pray for us! All the norms, and that the sickness will LEAVE and I will NOT get it!!

Goodnight!
