Yesterday was a good day. Along with getting to hold and cuddle Davis, here is an update on a few other things. Davis' head still looks good. He has a MRI on Monday for baseline information so we know what it looks like for future reference. This will be used to compare with the MRI's they will take each year. They are cathing him every 6 hours to make sure his bladder is emptying each time. They have cathed him twice now and nothing came out, which is a good thing. Cathing him for 24 hours is precautionary (better safe than sorry) The good news is he's peeing normally, arching and all. His pooping is good and normal. All this is very good news for a baby with spina bifida (almost unheard of). Monday he has an ultrasound of his kidneys which is also baseline (for future reference). Davis' back is healing great. The incision is shorter than Vesti's thumb and healing good. His diaper completely covers the incision. He is eating good and sleeping good. Vesti and Brandon will be rooming in with Davis tomorrow night and if all continues to go well, they will all go home together Monday night.
Vesti is doing well. Other than almost busting a gut last night laughing, her recovery seems to be going well. I'm sure it will speed up if they can just get their little guy home.
Now for what you've all been waiting for...

Jane & Doyle were beaming in church this morning. Doyle was quick to pull out his photo of Davis and Kelly! What blessings they were happy to report!
Auntie Vasha how will you ever get on the plane? I know Davis will miss you!
Have a wonderful evening together Mommy Daddy and baby D and a safe trip home!
